Daniel B. Stout, 80, passed away October 21, 2023 at his home in Fort Wayne, IN surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Hayman and Gladys Stout. He graduated from North Side High School in Fort Wayne, IN. After high school, he earned a Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University; in his late 40’s he earned a Bachelor’s degree and his Master’s in Education from Ball State University. He taught Industrial Technology in Michigan City, IN and retired from his teaching career in Schererville, IN. Daniel was passionate about collecting and using tools and working on projects with wood. He was a master at being a teacher of life skills.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Melinda of Fort Wayne, IN; sons, Matthew (Beth) of Marion, IN; Ryan (Anne) of East Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren: Joshua, Aidan and Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Stout.
