Danny Allen Smeltzer

DANNY ALLEN SMELTZER, 68, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023, at his home peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. Born Aug. 26, 1954, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Edwin Smeltzer and Betty McCombs. Graduating from Woodland high school in 1973, he joined the Army in 1976. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and love spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his companion of seven years, Linda Price, who by the grace of God, showed him what true love is. Also surviving are daughters, Christina (John) Battaglino of New York, Neena Monroe of New York, and Tiffany Smeltzer of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Rick (JoAnn) Piatt Fort Wayne and Ted (Cindy) Smeltzer of Harlan; three sisters, Lois (Robert) Langdon of Michigan, Sheila (Jiame) Padilla of North Webster and Megan (Jeremy) Faith Fawley Zimmerman of Fort Wayne, along with six grandsons and two granddaughters. Dan is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with he & Linda’s faithful dog, Cash. Also preceded in death were his four older sisters. Per his wishes he has been cremated.
