Darwin Eugene Horine

Darwin married his wife, Janice Joann Horine, on June 13th, 1959. He served in the US Army from 1955 to 1958 in Korea; he was a precision tool maker at Zollner, Corp. for 38 years. He was an active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church for 52 years; in his retirement he enjoyed time with his family, travel, gardening, and exercise at the Jorgensen YMCA.

Darwin is survived by his children, Susan (Tim) Domer, and Steven (Sherri) Horine; grandchildren, Mary and Samuel Horine, and a sister, Sandra Schwartz.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years Janice, both of his parents, Clyde and Manie (White) Horine, a brother, Richard Horine, and a sister, Pamela Jones.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46802. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804. Entombment will take place in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN.
