David Edward Gebert, 78, passed away July 12, 2023 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born August 16, 1944 in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of the late Herman and Evelyn Gebert. He graduated from Central Catholic High School. David retired from Navistar after 30 years as a forklift operator. He attended The Chapel.
He is survived by loving wife of 40 years, Donna Jean Gebert of Fort Wayne, IN; children, Kelley (Mike) Stacey of Noblesville, IN; Tom N. (Julie) Turner of Ashley, IN; Christina (Steven) Gard of Cape Coral, FL; Susan (Kerry) Mumma of Fort Wayne, IN;, FL; brother, Paul (Linda) Gebert of Roanoke, IN; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Joan Gebert.
He was preceded in death by his brother Steve Gebert.
Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Tuesday July 18, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home 8325 Covington Road Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation from 1-3 pm.
