David Eric Renkenberger

David Eric Renkenberger, 56, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the home of his parents, Dave and Judi Renkenberger surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. Eric was born on September 7, 1967. He graduated from Elmhurst High School. While in High School he participated in baseball, tennis, and excelled in photography. After graduation, he was employed by I&M and later was self-employed in construction with specialty in concrete work. He later transitioned to long-distance trucking for several years. Eric had many interests and talents throughout his lifetime. They included motocross racing, designing and racing land sails, sailing on Blue Lake, fishing, car racing, and flying Drones. Eric was much loved by his many friends. He always had a kind heart and an open mind. In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by his sons, Kyle of Churubusco, IN and Jacob of Fort Wayne, IN; and his sister, Lisa (Dominique) Summers of Pensacola, FL. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Bae Bae. A service of remembrance will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.
