Dean Edward Daugherty

Dean was born October 16, 1950, at Wells County Hospital. His first home was in Craigville. He was the son of Harold and Dorothy (Wolf) Daugherty and graduated from Norwell High School in 1969. He accepted Christ at an early age, and his faith remained a meaningful part of his life throughout the years.

Dean worked as a draftsman at Fort Wayne GE and later in the food and beverage industry. He grew up on a Lancaster Township farm near Uniondale and remained connected to his roots throughout his life. He enjoyed vegetable gardening and was a hands-on person who loved using his skills to build and create things. Dean married Suzanne Miller in 1975 and later married Mary Ann White in 1985.

Survivors include his daughters, Crystal Daugherty and Stephanie (Adrian Dance) Daugherty; grandchildren, Dalen and Cyann Banks, and Adria, Ariah, and Adrian Dance Jr., all of Fort Wayne; and siblings, Kay (Bob) Williams of Illinois, Gary (Connie) Daugherty of Ohio, Alan (Gwen) Daugherty of Bluffton, Paul Daugherty of Uniondale, and Keith (Jackie) Daugherty of Fort Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dorothy Daugherty.

A memorial visitation for Dean, will be held Monday, September 21st, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Advantage Funeral Services -Highland Park 2403 East Wallen Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825.
