Delores C. Garcia

DELORES C. GARCIA, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. She was born on March 22, 1929, in Middleton, Mich. She loved to read, work on her puzzles and cryptograms, to dance, her rose bushes, flowers in general, and the retirement home she built in Mexico. "She loved all her grandchildren greatly and had a great faith in God. She was a great planner, very independent and quite forthright! She was comfortable being by herself, but also enjoyed going to family celebrations where she could visit with friends and family, and dance, dance, dance." Surviving are her children, Rodrigo A. (Jane) Garcia, Herlinda (Joaquin) Garcia-Ramirez and Jaime A. Garcia, all of Fort Wayne, Paul C. Garcia of Inverness, Fla., and Noel E. (Jamie) Garcia, of Phoenix, Ariz.: grandchildren, Rodrigo, Andres, Graciela, Alicia, Gabriel, Paul M., Aubrey, and Celeste; and great-grandsons, Alejandro, Julian and James. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Saturday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St. Memorials to Family Hospice, United Hispanic Americans Inc. or the Alzheimer's Association.
