Delores Ann Weigel

Delores Ann Weigel, 85, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022, at Park Place Senior Living in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born in 1936 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of the late Henry and Bessie Atkinson. Delores was a lineworker at Magnavox for 35 years, retiring in 1997. Dee and Irv loved to travel and were avid Walt Disney fans. They spent many years on Lake Wawasee with their boat club. Delores was very active in her Delta Sigma Kappa sorority. She is survived by her children, Pamela Berg of Huntertown, IN, Steve (Kellie) Weigel of Syracuse, IN; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Tom of GA, Sally Magley of Lagrange, IN, and Robert (Melanie) Atkinson of Hudson, IN. Delores was preceded in death by her husband, George Irving Weigel in 2004; and her son, George David Weigel. Also preceding Delores are a granddaughter, Jennifer Berg; and a sister, Virginia Bedree. A funeral service to honor Delores' life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. A visitation will also take place on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
