Diana Lynn Lyon

Diana Lynn Lyon, 69, of Fort Wayne, passed away September 16, 2026, at Sage Bluff Health & Rehab Center. Born on September 19, 1956, in Brown County Indiana, to the late Roy L. and Delores J. (Cline) Goodwin, she was a dedicated member of Waynedale Baptist Church. Diana deeply cherished Sunday family dinners, loved decorating for the holidays, enjoyed dancing, and savored her custom cup of coffee from her favorite Fort Wayne spot. Throughout her life, she instilled in her daughters the profound values of honesty, resilience, kindness, and daily faith, always reassuring her loved ones with her comforting phrase, this too shall pass. She is survived by her loving daughters, Roiale (Charles) Harden, Michelle Russell, and Chelsie Spurlin, all of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Gabriella, Ava, Serena, Jaray Jr., and Alexander; her sister, Debbie (Steve) Sanders; brother, Donald (April) Goodwin; and sisters-in-law, Ilse Schiffer and Lisa Goodwin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael D. Lyon; her life partner, Marlin D. Spurlin; infant brother, Dayton; brothers, Robert “Bob” Schiffer and Daniel Goodwin; and infant granddaughter, Aurora Russell. Per Diana’s request, no services will be held at this time.
