Donald Patrick Zink

Donald Patrick Zink, 72, passed away December 9, 2022 at Parkview Dekalb Hospital, Auburn, IN. He was born December 19, 1949 in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of the late Orville C. and Delores I. Zink. Don graduated from Snider High School in 1968. He proudly served his country and was a U.S Marine Corp Veteran and served during Viet Nam. He was a carpenter and worked out of Carpenters Union Local 232 N.E. IN. Don was a member of the American Legion Post in Butler, IN and Leo, IN. He enjoyed playing golf, hiking, camping working in his garden and an occasional cold beer with friends.

Don is survived by his wife, Donna Zink of Auburn, IN; sons, William O. Zink of Auburn, IN; Ryan P. (Courtney) Zink of Rome City, IN; daughters, Kara D. Zink of Columbia, City, IN; Laurie N. (Tyler) Jernigan of Waterloo, IN; Lori (Eric) Folkstad of Zionsville, IN; sister Joyce R. (Jerry) Boxberger of St. Joe, IN; grandchildren, Waylon Jernigan, Silas Jernigan and Ellis Zink.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas O. Zink, William Zink, and sister Janice Zink.

A Celebration of life gathering will be held from 4pm to 8pm Monday December 19th at the American Legion Post 409 located at, 14133 Leo Rd, Leo, IN 46765.
