Donna J Ellis

DONNA J. (COON) ELLIS, 83, passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at The Hearth at Sycamore Village in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Donna worked as a Waitress with Cafe Johnell for 17 years, retiring in 1990. She was an active member of St. Michael Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing euchre with her women's card club. She also spent time volunteering at Coventry Meadows. Surviving are her sons, Steven G. (Barb) Ramsey and Terry D. (Lisa) Ellis, both of Fort Wayne; and daughters, Sandra R. Ramsey and Tanna L. (Dan) Gillig, both of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and nieces, Patricia McDonaugh and Carmen McKeehan, both of Lebanon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. Norman Ellis; parents, Guy D. Coon and Guytanna Omspaugh; and sister, Virginia Gordon. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling from noon to 2 p.m. Entombment in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church.
