

She was born in Lafayette, Indiana, on June 22, 1945, the daughter of Leslie J. and Adeline P. (Williams) Heath. Following graduation from Jefferson High School in Lafayette, she attended Purdue University. She married Daniel G. Mock on October 12, 1968, in Lafayette, and they have lived in Fort Wayne since 1974.
Following her marriage, she happily devoted her life to her family, friends, and community. She is remembered most for her outgoing, cheerful, and perpetually positive approach to life, despite suffering many years with debilitating arthritis. She enjoyed quilting and the beautiful friendships it produced. She also spent time volunteering for Allen County CASA.
She is survived by her husband, Dan, of 52 years, her daughter, Heather (Bradley) Van of South Whitley, her son, Matthew (Nick Butera) Mock, of Chicago, and beloved granddaughters, Eliza and Olivia Van. She will be sorely missed by Poppy, her latest doggy friend.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Cary W. Heath.
Calling will be 11:30 AM to 1:30 on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne, followed by a funeral service at 1:30 PM, Celebrant Doug Shaw officiating. Burial to follow in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Social distancing guidelines will be in place at the funeral home.
