Doris A. Wissing

Doris Arlene (née Doan) Wissing, age 90, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022. She was born January 8, 1932 in Grand Island, Neb. to the late William and Jessie Doan. Doris and Herman were married in 1951 and relocated to Fort Wayne from Nebraska in 1956. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, fond of television, especiallly soap operas, 'As the World Turns' being her favorite, reading and member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for 57 years. Doris is survived by her children, Joseph (Donna) Wissing, Jane (Tim) Berner, Fred (Sue) Wissing, Mark (Sarah) Wissing, Andrew (BJ) Wissing, Patrick (Lora) Wissing; twenty grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Herman S. Wissing; eight siblings; two great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Highland Park, 2403 E. Wallen Road with calling beginning at 10:00 am.
