

DOROTHEA LEE LEBRECHT, 93, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at Kingston Care Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Albion, Ill., Dorothea was the owner of Glazed Owl Ceramic Shop & Studio along with Monarch Porcelain for 34 years before retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Dorothea was an avid reader and writer. She enjoyed writing many short stories and bird watching. Surviving are her sons, Jon F. (Darlene) Lebrecht of Fort Wayne and Andrew C. (Ruthie) Lebrecht of Auburn; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brett) Cooper, Jon S.E. Lebrecht, Janis (Josh) Gordon, Megan (Sam) Cox, Andrew Charles Lebrecht, II., Amelia Lebrecht, Kimberly (Jamie) Craig, and Christine (Paul) Steele; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lois Koonce; husband, Frederick Lebrecht; and brothers, Donald and Dale Koonce. Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Chaplain Forest Tabor officiating. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
