Edra Lee Ramey, 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Parkview Hospital Randallia of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born December 25, 1942, in Chauncey, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Therman and Mary Eunice Gillispie.
Edra loved spending time with family and caring for her home and her garden.
She is survived by her children, Teddy Lee Ramey of New Haven, IN, Eddie (Aimee) Ramey of Payne, OH, Sandra (Michael) Moore of New Haven, IN; sister, Sarah Emogene Bates of Bedford, OH; grandchildren, Brooke (Dustin Ratliff) Ramey of Convoy, OH, Daniel (Hailie Amstutz) Ramey of Payne, OH, Mason (Lauren) Moore of New Haven, IN, Shelby (Joseph) Aurich of Fort Wayne, IN; 2 great-grandchildren, Amelia and Maverick, and two great-grandchildren on the way.
Edra was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Ramey in 2001; brother, James Gillispie; sisters, Marie Bates, Patty Akers; and infant grandchildren, Megan Grace and Russell Allen.
A funeral service to honor Edra's life and legacy will be held at 1:30 pm Monday on November 7, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning 2 hours prior at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
