Edward "Buddy" Barnes, 84, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed on June 20, 2026. He was born on January 22, 1942, in Covington, Kentucky, son of the late Edward and Alma (Cooper) Barnes. He spent his life sharing his love of ministry by being a pastor and an evangelistic traveler. Ed enjoyed all the time spent with his family especially the grandchildren. Ed is survived by his children, Tia Fox, Eddie (Terri) Barnes, and Steve (Nicki) Barnes; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard "Rick" Barnes. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 29, 2026 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial to follow the service at Prairie Grove Cemetery. Contributions in Ed's memory may be made to Spirit of Life Children's Ministry.
