

Edward “Ed” F. Foss, 69, passed away November 11, 2021 at his home in Roanoke, IN. Born February 23, 1952 in Fort Wayne, Ed graduated from New Haven High School in 1970 where he was a gifted wrestler and football player. He graduated with a Master of Education degree from Indiana University in 1975 where he was a member of Acacia Fraternity and an accomplished track and field athlete. Ed was a proud business owner of All Star Construction and Excavating, had a passion for collecting low-mileage vintage Corvettes, and was a member of the National Corvette Restoration Society. Ed is survived by his wife, Teresa Foss of Roanoke; son, Matthew (Janelle) Foss of Mechanicsburg, PA; step daughter, Sara (Jeff) Krauss of Westerville, OH; six grandchildren, Millie and Maddux Foss, Gabriella Ramirez, and Eleanor, Henry, and James Krauss; two brothers, Kim Foss of Tucson, AZ and Scott (Michelle) Foss of Austin, TX; sister, Laura Foss of Columbia City; step sisters Cathy Jo (Tom) Bice and Deborah (Bob) Caldwell, both of Fort Wayne; and stepmother, Jan Foss of Ossian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Foss and Elthian “Ellie” Somers; brother, Daniel Foss; sisters, Sharice Pinney and Roxanna Nofzinger; grandparents, Sherman and Elthian Wise and Burdette and Ellen Foss. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM at D. O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home – Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with visitation one hour prior. The family will also receive friends and family during visiting hours on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A private family burial will follow. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to University of Maryland School of Medicine Brain and Tissue Bank.
