Edward "Ed" E. Fuhrman

Edward "Ed" E. Fuhrman, 96, of Renaissance Village, passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was born September 7, 1922 to the late Albert and Mary (Springer) Fuhrman in Fort Wayne. Ed proudly served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He enjoyed travelling and was honored to participate in the Freedom Honor Flight. Ed loved to take selfies. Ed is survived by his children, Tim Fuhrman, Cheryl (Dan) Porter, Beth Schoel, and Christine Biltz; step-children, Keith Beeching and Marla (Jeff) Sherfick; brother, Wilbert Fuhrman; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Along with his parents, Ed was also preceded in death by the mother of his children, Marjorie Fuhrman, children, Terry Fuhrman and Sue Romine; daughter-in-law, Brenda Fuhrman, son-in-law, Jeff Schoel, and wife, Kathleen Fuhrman. Memorial service will be on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Klaehn, Fahl, and Melton Funeral Home (6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819) with visitation from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Turnstone Center.
