Edward S. 'Gropie' Gropengieser, age 62, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023. He was born December 23, 1960 in Brown County, Ohio to Edward Gropengieser and Loree Adele (née Gastright) Squires. Gropie was a residential home builder, remodeler, and owned American Builders, Fort Wayne. He lived on the wild side and loved to travel, spend time outdoors including the beach and fishing but loved spending time with his family the most; Gropie was a proud father and grandfather.
Gropie is survived by his companion of thirteen years, Kimberly Milledge; children, Mercede (Mike) Lynch, Tiffany (Gilbert) Moralez, Garrett (Kari) Lundblad, Angel Brandenberger, Kevin Jett, Jr., Briana Jett, and Desirae (Spencer) Jett; furbaby, Diamond; grandchildren, Caleb, Owen, Ethan, Izayah, Aniya, Mira, Jata, Kayden, Kylee, Antonio, Saniya, Loreea, Jaylen, Braylin, Allison, Amelia, Aaliyah, Josiah, Sharlah; siblings, Francis Gunn, Sue (Dan) Brandenberger, Josh (Ruth) Squires, Rick Squires; nephews, Zac Gropengieser and Joe Gropengieser; and several others friends he considered family too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his son, Chad Kirby; furbaby, Paws; sister, Love Squires; brother, Louie Gropengieser; and step-father, Ron Squires.
Funeral Service is 1:00 PM, Friday, June 23 at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Mungovan, 2114 S. Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne with calling two hours prior.
