Ed was one of a kind and never met a stranger. He was like a grandfather to Melissa, Kelli, and Casey and a friend to all. My condolences to Maryellen, Buffy, Duffy, John, and their families.

So sorry for your loss. It is never easy to say good-bye to a parent. All Ed did around Lake Wawsee is noted and appreciated. Hoping your times together at Lake Wawasee will warm your hearts and give you comfort. Sincerely, Sonya Hoskins

I had the chance to work with Ed at Lupke Rice. My dad Donzie worked with Ed and they used to have lunch garbage wars in the office. Primarily coney island. The wrappers would end up in the office of each, and would have to determine who perp was, great fun. We will miss you Ed. Ellen "Coffey" Scherer

It was an honor to know and work with such a great man. We both enjoyed working with Ed, and with you, Stan. We were very fortunate to know him, as he was such a nice guy, and had a great sense of humor. I am sorry that we didn't find out until today that he had passed away. We would have definitely been there for his memorial. Stan, you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Ed and I go way back to South Side, in fact we grew up in the same neighborhood. Ed always said that I saved him in geometry. My sympathy to the family, and rest in peace old friend. Gene Towns
