Edward T Slater, 91, of Fort Wayne, passed away on February 4, 2022. Born on January 27, 1931, in Coesse, he was a son of the late Harry and Estella Slater. He proudly served his country in the Marine Corps, and retired from Phelps Dodge as a wire inspector.
He is survived by his wife of over 66 years, Joan Slater; sons, Rodney (Lori) Slater, and Larry Slater; and grandchildren, Shawna and Ryan Slater. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Slater, Norma Routhier, and Sharon Stiver.
Funeral service will be 1:30pm, Sunday, February 13, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11:30am, until time of service. Burial will be in Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco. Memorial donations may be given to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
