

Edward William Strubel, Jr. Passed away May 12, 2014. In Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Queens, NY, He grew up on Long Island where he had a love of sailing and digging clams. He met the love of his life, Adele, on the ice of the Mill Pond 51 years ago…They moved to Florida, where his first son Edward III was born, and he owned a marina for several years. Returning to New York gave him many blessings, the birth of his second son Christopher, and a factory management job in Brooklyn. This afforded him the opportunity to move to Fort Wayne and work for Patton Electric and Water Furnace International as Plant Manager until his retirement in 2012. Surviving are: His wife Adele, Son Edward III (Barb) and their children (granddaughters) Ivy and Mae, Son Christopher (Corinne), two sisters Dolly and Linda and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial is 1pm Saturday May 17th at Saint Joseph Catholic Church on Brooklyn Avenue in Fort Wayne with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also from 2-4pm and 6-8pm Friday May 16th at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road with vigil service at 7:45pm. "He was smart, he was strong, he was handsome, and he will be forever missed!"
