

Edward Joseph Trabel, 93, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Ashton Creek Health & Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne. Born June 28, 1929, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Edwin A. and Esther F. Trabel.
Ed graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947 and International Business College in 1959. He was a U.S Army veteran during the Korean War. Ed worked at Magnavox for 33 years, retiring in 1991. Upon his retirement, he worked at Pro Bowl West for over 20 years. Ed was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Indiana Bowling Association - Jurisdictional Director, Magnavox Management Club, and Fort Wayne Bowling Association past Secretary and Treasurer. He was also past President of Indiana State Bowling Association and a Hall of Fame member of Fort Wayne Bowling Association. Ed rolled his only 300 game in November of 1990. He will always be remembered for his involvement in Youth bowling, his love for the Dodgers and Notre Dame, and spending his days at the lake.
Ed is survived by his children, Robert M. (Jody) Moher, John T. (Rebecca) Moher and Kathleen M. Holcomb, all of Fort Wayne; brother, Gerald (Barb) Trabel of Clermont, FL; and grandchildren, Allison (Chase) Kinslow, Sarah, Abigail, Tyler and Morgan Moher. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Nancy L. Trabel, in 2008.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Ed's life and legacy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 9:30am, until time of service. He will be laid to rest at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne.
