He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on November 24, 1945, the son of Joseph and Marie A. Tutwiler.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Patricia and their children, Scott (Nancy), Richard (Beth), and Heather Tutwiler, sister, Marlene Brown, along with many nieces, nephews and two step granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jack and Jim and sisters, Sharon and Shirley Williams.
He was a member of the Waynedale Masonic Lodge #739, Mizpah Shrine, Royal Order of Jesters #27, Moose Lodge #1568, Elks lodge #1854, FOP #163, Sons of the American Legion #0031. Ed retired as Captain of the Detective Bureau with the Allen County Police Department.
Memorial Visitation will be held on June 4, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes-Covington Knolls.
