Our beautiful, sweet, precious, grandmother was the most loving, kind, compassionate, caring, patient and giving person I have ever known. She wanted nothing more than for all of us to know, love, glorify and serve God and others. For me and my cousins, she was an Angel on earth, at times during our darkest hours. She was truly Jesus's hands and feet, our miracle in times of need and despair. When I was little she showed me so much love just by being present. Her whole makeup and nature made me feel loved and safe, i just wanted to be around her more, i hated leaving her.Whether playing rummy, go fish, swimming or singing What a Friend we Have in Jesus. She was my safe haven, my soft place. This is where mom would take me when I was sick, she held me when I was sick, squeezed my hand when I was afraid, scratched my back to help me fall asleep, she prayed over me, for me and with me. She taught me to be giving and kind, to trust Jesus' plan for my life, to know that none of us are perfect but we are all perfectly loved. That Jesus,is love and mercy, the Alpha & Omega from beginning to end, the first & the last. She is my greatest hero on earth, because she taught me while we are flawed, we are perfectly loved. She aimed to teach me out of the Bible, using instances and verses she specifically picked out for the living situation I was in, it was enduring yet at times not as easy as I would have hoped to grasp. She always said, raise up a child in the way they shall go & they will return. I may not have gotten it all in my childhood or even younger adulthood but the seed was miraculously planted in me, growing & at times dormant, not proud of thes dormant periods. We all have a place, a calling, we are His. We were so blessed to have her here with us for so many years, she was cherished, adored and loved beyond words. I can hardly imagine living here without her beside me. GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO WE! Forever cherished, we miss you so much Grandma, I miss you dearly!
