Elise D. Macomber

Elise D. Macomber, 89, a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 in Fort Wayne. She was born on May 14, 1933, to the late Irwin and Martha (Irmscher) Deister. Surviving to cherish Elise’s memory and to carry on her legacy are her daughter, Martha Leader and husband, Norman Leader of Clarendon Hills, IL; 3 grandchildren, Alden Leader, Brooke Leader, and William Leader; her brother, Irwin Deister of Fort Wayne; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Elise was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Macomber; and her son, Bradford A. Macomber. A funeral service to honor Elise's life and legacy will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, October 1, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with calling beginning at 10:30 am, until time of service. In a private family ceremony, she will be laid to rest at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations in her honor may be directed to the Lake Wawasee Conservatory or the Embassy Theatre.
