Elizabeth Berger, age 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at Ossian Health & Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 19, 1932, in Yugoslavia, she was a daughter of the late Jakob and Magdelina (née Gosse) Mayer. Elizabeth married the late Adam Berger on March 20, 1954 in Austria and spent her life as a loving homemaker. She was a 55 year member of the Fort Wayne Sport Club and member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Erika (Walter) Scheffrahn; sons, Richard (Sally) Berger, Mannfred Berger and Adam David Berger; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; twin sister, Anna Tossman; and brother, Adam Mayer.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 2120 S. Harrison St., Fort Wayne, Ind. with calling one hour prior. Friends and family will also be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Mungovan, 2114 S. Calhoun St., Fort Wayne, with a Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Interment to follow service at Catholic Cemetery, 3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne.
