Betty was a faithful member of Fort Wayne Chapter #432, Order of the Eastern Star for 55 years. She worked hard on committees and was a friend to all. We have missed being able to visit her since March 2020, but cards and phone calls had to suffice. Rest well dear Betty.

Betty was a friend and sorority sister who I knew for over thirty years. She was a wonderful baker. I always looked forward to meetings at her home when I knew her delicious homemade pies would be our dessert. Betty was an avid reader and always had many books she enjoyed reading. Betty was also an established artist and I am blessed to have one of her bluebird paintings on a brick doorstop. One thing we had in common was watching birds. Betty’s first apartment had a wonderful view of bird feeders outside her window. I will miss her.

Betty was a long time member of Kappa Delta Phi sorority, Psi Delta Chapter in Fort Wayne IN. She attended many regional and National conventions. She was our ‘quality control’ whenever we were making door decorations, cards, or placemats for nursing homes. She was a creative artist and beautiful counted cross stitcher. I am glad to have known her; she will be missed.
Pictured below are sorority sisters surrounding Betty, standing Vicki Fisher and Linda Spurrier and seated by Betty are Deena Patten and Jessie Bloom. This was taken in December 2019, the last we were able to visit with her.
