Elizabeth "Betty" Rekeweg, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Betty was born April 25, 1933 in Berne, Indiana, daughter of the late David and Adella (Inniger) Habegger. She was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church for over 60 years. Betty had a passion for water skiing, walking, gardening, and long conversations. She had a servants heart and always found a way to help. Betty is survived by her children, Jonathan (Jennifer) Rekeweg of Fort Wayne and Anne (Jeff) Conway of Noblesville, IN; grandchildren, Ashley (Andy) Parker, Brandi (Josh) Timmons, Zachary (Destina) Rekeweg, Megan (Philip) Ulrich, Haley Conway, and Brooke (Aaron) Gipson; great-grandchildren, Ava Parker, Alivea Parker, Carter Timmons, Kynzie Timmons, and Leo Timmons; and sister, Caryl Dafforn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Richard Rekeweg; brother, Chester Habegger; and sister, Vera Rich. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, November 14, 2025 at the funeral home. Burial to follow the service at Concordia Cemetery. Contributions in Betty's memory may be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church.
