When Betty came to live with Dennis and me, we easily adjusted to one another. As the years went by, Dennis, Charlene(my partner in mischief)and I would do just about anything to bring a little joy to Betty. We would sing(BADLY) dance, like we knew what we were doing BUT when Betty would smile, it would light up her whole face and whatever we were doing, no matter how silly, it would be all worth it. She was a champ!I am so glad that we had a chance to become close.I gained 3 relationships that I will always treasure- Dennis, Charlene and of course, Miss Betty Boop. Grandma, I will always remember the wonderful holidays we spent together as family. The joking, card games and wonderful food. You have always been the true matriarch of our family and held it together. I knew nothing but love, honesty and caring from you. You always told us how it is and going to be. Thank you for all your love and warmth over the years. I know God has given you a very blessed life and now you are up there enjoying your heavenly blessings. You are missed dearly, but I know you are so much happier and resting in heaven. I love you so very much.

Grandma, may you drink all the Blue Hawaii's and throw as many potato chips as you want in Heaven!  Some may have no clue what this means, but those who do will smile and I'd like to think that is what you want us to do when we remember you.  You will be missed.  Rest in Peace!

Dennis and I had a childhood like many you used to see on television.  We were loved and cared for by both of our parents and while we were not rich I cannot remember wanting for anything.  Today there are too many instances of abused and neglected children and we were lucky to be neither of these.  
For this I thank my parents, but mostly my mother as my father was gone many times at sea with the Navy.  Thank you again mom and I love you.
