ELMER "TOM" "SQUIRRELMAN" VANCE, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014. He was born December 14, 1954 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He worked for General Motors for 35 years before retiring. Surviving are his children, Chrystal (Joshua) Heckerthorn, Tommy (Nancy) Vance, and Autumn Vance; siblings, Rose Dempsey, Dicky (Sherry) Vance, Cecil (Lou) Vance, and Susan Hall; four grandchildren; his long-time friend, Lucille Rose and her grandson, Lee Harrison, who considered him his "Papa Tom"; and his Indiana family Leroy "P-We" (Julie) Harrison. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, (IN 46819).
