June retired from JCPenney's after 33 years. In retirement, she volunteered weekly in the Lutheran Hospital gift shop and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, James G. Burton in March 2005.
June is survived by her sons, Richard L. (Barbara) Burton and Ted H. Burton; grandchildren, Heather (Matthew) Connelly, Katie (Brian) Rutan, and Karen (Anthony) Riczo; great-grandchildren, Avery (Zach) Hillers, Carter Rutan, Tyler Riczo, Emersen Connelly, Brynna Riczo and Cameron Connelly; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Dean and John Burl Hite.
Funeral Service is 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne with calling beginning at 11:30 AM. Private Interment at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington, Ind.
