Elsie E. Ecenbarger

ELSIE E. ECENBARGER, 92, of Fort Wayne, died on Friday, March 1, 2013, at Harbor Assisted Living. Born March 27, 1920, in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Cater and Anne G. Hanna. She was a cook/cafeteria for F.W.C.S., retiring after 15+ years of service in 1977. She was a member of Chapel of the Lakes Presbyterian Church, Steuben County. She loved knitting, crocheting, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved living on Lake George where she spent time with her family. Surviving are her sons, Donald (Janice) Ecenbarger of Angola and Steven (Lynne) Ecenbarger of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Teri Ecenbarger of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Ecenbarger; son, David Ecenbarger; and brother, Ross Cater. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.Monday at the funeral home.
