Eric Steven Putt

Eric Steven Putt, son of Austin Putt and Elizabeth Piercy Putt, passed away on June 15, 2023 in the Dupont Hospital NICU. Born eight weeks early, on Memorial Day, his departure was as unexpected as the timing of his arrival. In his seventeen days of life, he earned a reputation for both feistiness and sweetness and made an impact on many people. He was loved not only by his parents and family, but by the nurses who cared for him around the clock. Eric enjoyed “mommy milk,” being read and sung to, looking into his parents’ eyes, and being swaddled and held. Eric is survived by his parents, Austin and Elizabeth Putt; big sister, Abigail; grandparents, Janet and Bill Piercy; grandmother, Rhonda Putt; great grandmother, Carroll Stackhouse; aunts and uncles, Karson (Joline) Putt, Shelby (Mark) Putt Jedele, Katherine Piercy, Steven Piercy; as well as many great aunts and uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mark Putt; great grandparents, Katherine and Tom Ankenbruck, Christobel and William Piercy, Thelma and Robert Putt, Ralph Stackhouse; and uncle, Logan Putt. A graveside service will be held at 1:30pm on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6600 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
