Eugene Robinson Sr.

Eugene Robinson Sr. passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on October 24, 1946, to the late Burnie and Thelma (Lively) Robinson. Eugene lived a life marked by steady dignity and a quiet strength that will be remembered with deep respect. He was a Pentecostal preacher for many years, while also taking care of his children, and helping raise his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eugene is survived by his children, Patricia (Bill) Medsker, Eugene (LeeAnne) Robinson Jr., and Edna Robinson; grandchildren, Burnie Jarvis, Andrea Jarvis, Vanessa Lautzenheiser, Ashley (Keith) Sands, Jessie Robinson, Clarissa Adkins, Karrie Robinson, Samantha Adkins, and Jackie Robinson; great-grandchildren, Charleigh, Xander, Feni Jo, Kyleigh, Xavier, Liam, and Eliza; brothers, Billy Robinson and Johnny Robinson; and LeeAnne's mother, Judy McDowell. He is preceded in passing by his wife, Sharon Kay (Salmons) Robinson; and siblings, Tommy Robinson, Henry Robinson, Hazel Hardman, Danny Robinson, and Curtis Robinson.

He will be honored for the presence he brought to those around him—measured, dependable, and grounded in a sincere regard for others. Eugene’s life leaves an enduring imprint on all who had the privilege to know him.

Eugene is remembered with gratitude and respect, and his memory will be carried forward by those who loved him.
