EVELYN A. BRITTEN, 86, of Fort Wayne, died on Monday, March 4, 2013, 11:30 a.m., at Chalet Village, Berne. Born March 13, 1926, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Asa Frank Whitney and Amelia Marie (Rodewald). She was a member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She worked in the credit department with Sears & Roebuck Co., retiring after 25+ years of service. Surviving are her two daughters, Connie (Dan) Brockhaus of Fort Wayne and Janet (Kevin) Lehman of Geneva; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Britten. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N.
