Fay Anna Pearl (née Gamble) Metcalf, 90, of Fort Wayne, Indiana went home to be with Jesus and loved ones on Saturday, February 25, 2023. She was born January 24, 1933 in Potosi, Missouri to the late Aaron and Pearl (née Clemens) Gamble and lived in Fort Wayne for the past nine years.

She is survived by her sons, Allen (Carolyn) Govero of Farmington, Mo., and Daniel (Joan) Govero of Columbia, Mo.; daughter, Pamela (née Metcalf) Shearin of Fort Wayne; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George 'Bob' Metcalf; parents, Aaron (Pearl) (née Clemens) Gamble; 7 siblings; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.

She was a blessed matriarch, devout Christian and witness to all she came in contact with. She worked as a CNA at Farmington Community Hospital and volunteered at multiple nursing homes in St. Francois and Washington Counties, Mo. She continued her ministry for the nearly five years she was a resident at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne; where she received the utmost care from the staff of believers.

There will be no public services per her request.
