We send our love and sympathy for your loss. Both your mom and dad were wonderful, righteous examples of the love of Christ and Dicks highlighted bible was legendary in the neighborhood! Heaven has gained an awesome man of God. We love you all and pray or peace and strength in the coming days and years.

Dick and his wife Gladys were our next door neighbors for years.  They were wonderful, godly people, and we were fortunate to know them.

The Smiths cherish many fond memories of the years we had the Carter family in the Third Street church . Their participation in the church will never be forgotten . They always made a great impact on the worship services by using their many and various talents for the Glory of God . Bother Brother Carter and Sister were loving and caring folk. I have been so blessed to have such a Godly example all my life as I have had in my Great Uncle Dick.  Always a smile on his face and a hug in his arms for me since I was a little girl.  To have known him is to know Christ' love that he openly showed and shared with everyone he came into contact with.

Thoughts and prayers are with you all. Knowing where he is may it bring you comfort and peace.

A great man and will be missed by all who knew him.

To Brother Carter's Family,
I am indebted to this precious man more than words can express because almost 30 years ago he took time out of his life to knock on doors and present the plan of salvation to anyone that would hear. I was one that heard and accepted the Lord and I will never forget that day or this dear man of God. I truly believe that Brother Carter loved God more than life and is now with the Lord and his loved ones but my prayer is that your grief be eased and your heart be touched by the Lord that you be strengthened in this time of great loss.
