Frank Isaac Dooley, 94, of Fort Wayne, passed away on April 26, 2017 at The Cedars in Leo. Born on April 19, 1923 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, he was a son of the late James and Eva (Pennington) Dooley. Frank proudly served in the U.S. Army for two years during the World War II Era. He attended Earlham College in Richmond and was the Owner of Kinney’s Market. An avid Basketball fanatic, Frank also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He was married to Peggy (Robinson) Dooley in 1947 until her death in 1962 and was later remarried on May 26, 1963 and is now survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy (Mahan) Dooley of Fort Wayne; daughter, Deb (Dave) Kerschner of Fort Wayne; sons, Daniel (Vicki) Dooley of Richmond, and Douglas Dooley of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Peggy (Doug) Dils of Maine, Peter Dooley of Richmond, Annie (Adam) Duke of Richmond, Collin (Sarah) Kerschner of Fort Wayne, and Zachary Kerschner of Fort Wayne; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Bea Chamness of Richmond. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber DeJaegher-Dooley; brothers, James, Charles, Monroe, Robert, and Clayton Dooley; and sisters, Ruby Backmeyer and Betty Tousell. A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at Earlham Cemetery in Richmond, Indiana.
