Frank Joseph Salcedo

He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Barbara of 67 years; his children, Donna (Ron) Sholar, Kathleen (David) Vitkus, Stephen (Christie) Salcedo, Anthony (Kristi) Salcedo; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Ben) Wilder, Alexander (Meghan Snyder) Vitkus, Amanda (Keith Koscak) Nowak, Benjamin (Samantha Wert) Nowak, Addison Salcedo, Alex Salcedo, Kiley Salcedo, Skyler Salcedo, Sienna Salcedo; great grandchildren, Calvin, Isabella, Griffin, Rylee, Alina, Esme, Loralei; brother, Richard Salcedo and sister, Susan Cuevas.

Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Jesus C. and Esperanza Ferrer Salcedo; siblings, Carlos, Henrietta, Raymond, Sally, Teresa.

Frank dedicated 40 years to Inland Steel Corporation. He became a Fitness Supervisor at Merrillville High School, and developed a love to run and play racquetball. Frank loved going to concerts with his sons and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most recently he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Arcola.

Frank's love for sports made him a huge fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox. Watching old black and white movies in his spare time with his family was one of his favorite events. Frank was a very special friend to many people he met.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
