Gahe L. Giessler, 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. Gahe was born on September 26, 1941, in Fort Wayne, a son of the late Benjamin and Loretta (Eicks) Giessler. He graduated from South Side High School. He served in the U.S. Army-military police. He worked for Fort Wayne Parks as a police officer & eRailSafe as a driver. He was a lifelong member and attended grade school at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the YMCA to swim and work out. He also enjoyed watching the Fort Wayne Komets and New York Yankees. Surviving family includes his brother, Phillip (Inez) Giessler; nephews, David Giessler and Jeff (Lisa) Nichols; nieces, Ginger (James Gilbert) Giessler and Jennifer (Ron) Duncan. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his brother, Gary Giessler. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 1126 South Barr Street, Fort Wayne. A reception will follow. A private family inurnment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Boys Town or a veteran's organization of the donor's choice.
