Gail graduated from Scales Mound High in Scales Mound, IL and met Jim Amble, her husband of nearly 50 years in Janesville, WI.
Gail was a phenomenal cook, was an avid University of Wisconsin sports fan, and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph Poppy and Karen Kopacz of Robbinsdale, MN; Jeffery and Christine Poppy of Weston, CT; Michael Poppy of San Francisco, CA; Thomas and Lauren Amble of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Alison Poppy, Dylan and Scheilla Poppy, Nigel and Madison Poppy, Van Amble, Rhys Amble, and Nora Amble.
Service will be held 11:00 am on Monday July 21, 2025 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN with a visitation one hour prior.
Gail will be laid to rest in Concordia Gardens Cemetery next to her husband.
