Gail Louise Phillips

Gail Louise Phillips, 68, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 17, 1953 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late William and Irene (Dicke) Abramson. Gail graduated from Southside High School in 1971. She had a long career in health care for 46 years with Parkview Health, working in various areas. She lovingly raised 5 children of her own. Those children blessed her with 13 wonderful grandchildren who she enjoyed spoiling rotten. When she wasn’t busy working or taking care of her large family, she enjoyed home remodeling projects, long bike rides with her husband, and cuddling her two beloved dogs, Loki and Ava. Gail is survived by her loving husband Kent Phillips, and her children Elizabeth Standiford (Brian Kern), Matthew Standiford (Ashley Standiford), Renee Moore (Rex Moore), Jill Boice (Carl Boice), and Scott Standiford (Rikole Routson).
