Garth E. Ellenberger, 74, passed away on October 15, 2026. He was born on February 9, 1952, in Decatur, Indiana, son of the late Howard and Phyllis (Holloway) Ellenberger. Garth was a truck driver for over 50 years, traveling the country behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler. He had a passion for working on cars, music, and playing his guitar. Garth is survived by his siblings, Janet (Walt) Schuhmann, Jane Franklin, Glenn (Cindy) Ellenberger, and Tammi (Terry) Wallace; numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved cat, Pete; and special friends, Bruce and Dawn. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Roger Franklin. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at the funeral home. Burial to follow the service at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
