Gene R. Wilkinson, 90, passed away, Friday, February 01, 2019 at his residence in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana to the late Joseph F. and Veronica A. Wilkinson. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Gene was a long-time horseman and avid sailor. He was also a life-long member of the downtown YMCA, and loved his little dog, Spot. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kathryn F. Wilkinson; daughters, Ann K. Wilkinson and Susan M. Wilkinson; grandchildren, Kendal E. Banks and Dean I. Banks; brother, Jac (Phyllis) Wilkinson; and sister-in-law Elizabeth A. Wilkinson. Gene was also proceeded death by brothers, Donn M. and Joseph F.; and nephew, Eric. Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 pm, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with calling one hour prior to Mass. Calling, Monday, February 4, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home Maplewood Park. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
