

GENEVIEVE JILL GARRINGER, 85, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Born May 24, 1928, in Portland, Ind., Jay County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Pease and Ruth (Corle) Pease. She was a data processor at Lutheran Hospital for 20+ years. She was a member of Waynedale Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, playing board games and card games, Bible study, and loved playing the Aggravation game. Surviving are her daughter, Cheryl D. (Robert) Trammel of Fort Wayne; sons, Jeffrey C. Garringer of Athens, Ohio and Randall (Janice) N Garringer of Coldwater, Mich.; daughters, Candace K. Leonard of Ossian and Tammara F. Garringer Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Valerie (Martin) Priller, Joseph Trammel, David, Kristen and Rachel Garringer, Abigail Taylor and Brandon Masterson, and Emily Leonard; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Dylan, Bailey, Elizabeth, and Deakon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Garringer Jr.; and siblings, Carl H. Pease Jr., Arden L. Pease, Helen LeMaster, Jean Eastwood, Joan Zurcher, and Ronald J. Pease. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Guillion officiating.
