GEORGE ELMER PROCTOR, 73, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Parkview Hospital. Born Nov. 5, 1936, in North Huntingdon, Pa., he was a son of the late Carl Proctor and Ruth (Steiner). He worked in sales at Murraysville Telephone Company for 25 years. Surviving are his daughters, Lisa (Mike) Firestine, Lori (Todd) Bowman and Tammy Jo Shelton; sister, Gwen (Bob) Wineberg; brothers, Eugene (Millie) Proctor and Duane Proctor; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Carl Proctor; and sister, Margie Miller. Funeral service is 4 p.m. today at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., with calling from 3:30 to 4 p.m.
