George F. Woodard

George F. Woodard, 94, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018. Born in Garrett, Indiana, George was the son of the late Raymond and Mabel Woodard. George served our country in the US Army as a Tech Sgt. during WWII. During his working years, George owned Lakeside TV, served as a Pastor, and owned many rental properties. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and Love Church. George enjoyed fishing, camping, and his pet Pugs. Surviving are his children, Donald (Cathy) Woodard, David (Monica) Woodard, Georgia Woodard, Kathleen (Raymond) Cole, Elizabeth (Michael) Whitman all of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Woodard; sons, Joseph and Michael Woodard; one brother and two sisters. Service is 1:00 pm, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling at the funeral home Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.
