

Gerald A. Minnick, 93, of Fort Wayne passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015. He was born on April 4, 1922 in Hoagland to the late Albert and Catherine (Gephart) Minnick. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from International Harvester in October of 1982 after 42 years. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, UAW 57, Rangers, and St. Vincent de Paul Holy Name Society. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family. Surviving family include his wife, Kathryn Minnick; children, Mary (Brad) Glass, Margaret (Carl) Kleber, Michael (Sandra) Minnick, Maureen (Bill) Yankowiak; grandchildren, Zach, Kelly, Alex, Kathryn, Sebastian, Abigail, Nickolaus, Aubrey, Jesse, Carrie, Jonathan, Angela, Laura, Rachel; and 14 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by eight siblings. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be 4:30-8:30 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne with a rosary service at 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to St. Therese Catholic Church or American Alzheimer’s Association.
