Gillea Mae Emrah, 90, passed away on August 31, 2017. She was born in Logansport, Indiana on December 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Merle and Hazel Edwards. Gillea worked at Dana Corporation in Churubusco, IN as a packager for 21 years until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed trips to get ice-cream and going to the YWCA to go swimming. She enjoyed meeting at the Magic Wand for lunch with her co-workers from Dana Corp. Puzzles, genealogy, and reading were some of her favorite things to do. Spending time and making memories with her family was the most important thing in her life. Surviving are her children, Joseph (Linda) Emrah, and Christy (Daniel) White; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathy VanSchoyck. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John R. Emrah; and 4 siblings. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805 at 1:30pm with calling 1 hour prior. Burial will take place in Lindenwood Cemetery.
